growing up

Is it normal to love someone and now wish he was going through hell ?

WE broke up months ago but everytime I see a picture of him I feel angry that he is smiling but yet all I want to do is look for another picture of him?

I say I want to move on but do I really mean it. Gosh I sound like such an idiot but it's really bugging me everyday and all I want to do is wish it gives him hell too everytime he thinks of me.

lovers,dreamers and me

* rainbow connection acoustic version playing in the backgound*

I'd like to feel the breeze against my face, my fair fluttering wildly behind me. I'd like to catch a whiff of the sea in the wind, to feel the sand between my toes. I'd like to be surrounded by laughter, joy and happiness. I'd like to be embraced, and told that it is all going to be alright. I'd like to dream for a better tomorrow. I'd like to run towards the man I love, hold him tight and kiss him passionately. I'd like to be tell him I love him. But most of all, I'd like to be free.

misleading marketing ploys

I was doing my usual gorcery shopping today at the local Asda store and needed a glucose fix at the end of the tiring grocery shoppping session. I was thrilled to notice a sign advertising afternoon tea for only 2 quid...... tea comprises of a sandwich, a slice of cake and a hot drink! great! spot on! and I happily waltzed in the cafe thanking my lucky stars for the excellent offer at just the right time.

On the way in, I grabbed a scrumptious BLT sandwich, a devillish slich of waffle cheesecake and a cup of hot chocolate (droooooolll) and slided to the end of the food counter. I handed my 5 pound note promptly to the cashier, stealing little glances at the irresistable cheesecake. The indian lady refused my money, much to my confusion and said something I could not understand. After 5 painstaking repeats and some crazy hand gestures, I came to realise the offer was not valid today. - ___ - " WTF!!!!!!

See this really pisses me off. It is the consumer's legal right to be served whatever that is claimed to be on sale. I was refused a sale and on top of that not offered any form of apology. If this is their way of enticing customers into the shop, well they have done the exact opposite. The interesting thing is the 2 other customers immediately after me had the same intention of taking up the offer. They were fuming after hearing my conversation with the cashier lady and demanded to meet the manager. According to the lady ( I hoped we understood her correctly because her english is just RUBBISH ) she was the only worker for the day ( mind you, this is a relatively large cafe we are talking about) and the offer is not valid just for the day. The others found that revolting and immediately snatched a complain form from the back of the tils.
I couldn't be asked to fill on a complain form, so I had no choice but to leave the cafe empty handed with a growling tummy and an untamed sweet tooth :(

my advance 21st birthday present *HINT*

Although my birthday is 6 months away, I have identified the perfect gift. Unfortunately, it's hefty price tag is enough of a deterrent for anyone who would even consider buying me a present. Most girls desire expensive pretty things for their 21st, I'm no different in that aspect. This is gorgeous, expensive and would sure bring me lots of pleasure:)

Yes darlings, it is a 12-piece cookware set from kitchen aid *drooollllssss*

I may seem eccentric but I'm sure the amateur cooks amongst you will share my excitement. All that for a whooping $200 USD. sigh.

*slouches in chair and turns back to revision notes for tomorrow's exam*

infection vs intoxification

I'm trying to differentiate what between a bacterial infection and a bacterial intoxification, but I can't seem to get my head around it. I suspect that my reasoning ability has diminished quite a fair bit since my last major exam about 11 months ago; it's probably age catching up on me (I'm having a pre-21 life crisis) or perhaps I'm just not as bright and academically gifted as I used to be. whatever it may be, I need my brain to keep working for the next 2 weeks. sigh. anyone got tips for brain food?

inspiration

I was watching Top Chef for the first time on you tube last night. So I was inspired to create my very own decorative dish for supper. I scrambled into the kitchen and found some basic ingredients in the fridge, worked for 15 minutes and came out with this:

so voila! fried egg, lettuce, sauce and seafood sauce! lol...yum

sleep patterns

I once read that small naps are a more effective resting method than a long slumber at the end of the day. Out of curiosity( and in desperate need of more revising time for my finals) =) I've decided to give this theory a go. So I slept for 4 hours, woke up for a 2 hour revision session and cuddled up once again for another 4 hour nap.
Conclusion : I'm not well rested, my tummy's aching and my head's starting to throb.
thus the moral of the story is : DON'T PERFORM SILLY EXPERIMENTS on the day of your exam.

*wish me luck* >.<

xoxo

*edit: turns out I've got stomach cramps and diarrhea. owh dear.
